ALL DOC FACILITIES CLOSED! Limited facilities in Arthur's Pass Village.
COVID-19 RESPONSE: ALL DOC campsites, huts, tracks, great walks, and visitor centres are now closed throughout New Zealand. HUNTING, FISHING, TRAMPING ETC IS NOT PERMITTED! No one is to use campsites or any hut for self-isolation or "lock-down"! Where ever you find yourself NOW (midnight 25th March), is where you MUST live for the NEXT 4 WEEKS+!

Only limited facilities / resources will be available in Arthur's Pass Village after midnight Wednesday 25th March.

BOATING

Lake Grassmere

Is a wildlife refuge. Only self propelled craft (row, canoe, kayak) are permited on this lake.

Lake Pearson

The maximum speed on Lake Pearson is 5 knots.

Lake Lyndon

This lake is suitable for water skiing and boating.

Waimakariri River

The Waimakariri River is suitable for kayaking or canoeing. It is a long trip between road access points. No powered craft is permitted above the Bealey Bridge at Klondyke Corner.
