Mt Manson (1859m)

Deep mud on upper approach ridge from Mansons Creek (treacherous), then rime ice on rocks to about 1600m. Crusted powder, knee deep after that to 1800m. Fragile cornices on north ridge approach with stress cracks up to 4.5m from edge. Basin has 1.5 to 2m deep snow, unsupportive powder crust, pit revealed 1.2m slab sitting on wet sugary crystals at depth, failed at CT14.
